A. Demetriou: DISY will contribute to combating organized crime

The President of Democratic Rally (DISY), Annita Demetriou, expressed her party's readiness to contribute to strengthening the mechanisms for preventing and combating organized crime. The statement was made during a meeting with the Minister of Justice, Costas Fytiris.

According to a DISY announcement, the meeting focused on tackling organized crime and ensuring a safe environment for citizens. Ms. Demetriou stressed the need to install cameras on busy streets, as well as to fully investigate all complaints.

Ms. Demetriou stated that DISY agrees with the measures announced by the Minister, such as the confiscation of assets, the construction of new prisons, the surveillance bill, and the creation of a special organized crime directorate. She emphasized that the safety of citizens is non-negotiable.
