Ayia Napa: Investigation into Hand Grenade and CCTV Examination

Investigations continue by the Famagusta CID regarding the placement of a hand grenade at a property in Ayia Napa. The hand grenade was discovered on Saturday afternoon.

According to ΚΥΠΕ, police conducted investigations at the property until late at night, following a phone call about the placement of explosive devices. Evidence was collected for examination.

Investigators are examining closed-circuit television (CCTV) to identify potential movements of suspects. Searches were also conducted at other reported locations, without finding anything.

An unknown person called the Ayia Napa Police Station and a television station in Nicosia, reporting the placement of explosive devices.

The case is being investigated by the Famagusta CID.
