Famagusta: Antonis Samaras' Song for the Occupied City

It marks 51 years since the occupation of Famagusta by ATTILA, turning the city into a closed-off area. On August 16, 1974, Famagusta was deserted, with the wounds of the occupation remaining open.
Former Prime Minister of Greece, Antonis Samaras, inspired by the pain of the Turkish invasion, wrote the song "Famagusta," with music by Giorgos Theofanous and performed by Manolis Mitsias. The song was presented at the "Madame Figaro" awards in October 2024.
In the past, Antonis Samaras had stated about Cyprus: "Because Cyprus is unvindicated... If Cyprus is lost, Greece will also be lost."
