Famagusta: Bomb Threat at Establishment – SIGMA TV Informed

An alert was raised in Famagusta following bomb threat calls at a busy establishment. Authorities located a hand grenade, and the area was evacuated.
The first call was made to the Ayia Napa Police Station, and the second to SIGMA TV, which informed the police. An unknown person called and reported the placement of four bombs, even giving the location where the hand grenade was placed, inside the water park in Ayia Napa.
Giannis Selinopoulos, editor-in-chief of SIGMA, stated that the person spoke in English. An immediate police mobilization followed, with the Famagusta Police Department, MMAD, bomb disposal experts, and the Information Investigation and Evaluation Service participating in the investigations.
Authorities are evaluating CCTV footage to identify the perpetrator, while the hand grenade was found to be in usable condition. SIGMA's correspondent in Famagusta, Paraskevi Paskoui, reported that the investigations are continuing.
