Suspension of Charges in the Case of the Former Commissioner for Volunteerism

Suspension of five charges and presentation of a statement of facts for the remaining three was decided in the case of the former Commissioner for Volunteerism. The decision was made by the Prosecutor's Office, following warnings from the judge about delaying tactics.

According to what was said in court, the representative of the prosecuting authority stated that she would proceed with admitted facts together with the defense in order to avoid calling witnesses. Judge Νικόλ Γρηγορίου spoke of delaying tactics, and the proceedings were adjourned to give the prosecuting authority time to decide on its next actions.

On August 29, the defense will plead for mitigation of the sentence on the three remaining charges.
