The hearing in the trial of German real estate agent, Eva Isabella Künzel, accused of misappropriating Greek Cypriot properties in the occupied territories, has been adjourned to September 5. The adjournment was granted at the request of the Prosecution Authority to study new legal issues and a recent decision by the European Court.

During the proceedings before the President of the Court, Nikolas Georgiadis, Anna Matthaiou stated that a European decision had come to her attention. Mr. Georgiadis acknowledged the importance of the decision. The defense attorney, Rafaella Chrysostomou, did not object to the request for adjournment.

Mr. Georgiadis set the new date for the hearings as Friday, September 5, at 9:00 am. The defendant remains in custody until the next hearing.
