The pleadings in the trial within a trial at the Nicosia Criminal Court in the case of the German real estate agent, Eva Isabella Künzel, who is accused of expropriating Greek Cypriot properties in the occupied territories, have been adjourned to September 5.

The adjournment was granted at the request of the Prosecution Authority, in order to study new legal issues that arose, including a recent decision of the European Court. During today's proceedings, Anna Matthaiou stated that she had become aware of a European decision that she did not wish to ignore. The President of the Court, Nikolas Georgiadis, acknowledged the importance of the decision.

The defense attorney, Raphaella Chrysostomou, did not object to the request, stating that the adjournment would also provide an opportunity for the defense to study the same decision. Mr. Georgiadis set the new date for the pleadings for Friday, September 5, at 9:00 a.m. The Court ordered that the defendant remain in custody until the next hearing.
