Adjournment in Property Usurpation Case Due to Guarantee Issue

The hearing regarding the guarantee request for the German real estate agent, accused of usurping Greek Cypriot properties in the occupied territories, was adjourned at the Nicosia Criminal Court due to an issue with the insurance company.

During the hearing, the defense focused on discrepancies in topographic plans and requested a written translation of the witness material into German, a request that was rejected by the Court. Witness Ermis Chatzinikolaou explained that the Land Registry does not have access to Kyrenia for surveying work.

The Court scheduled new hearings for March 16, 18, and 20. Until then, the defendant will remain in custody. Representatives of the German embassy attended the proceedings.
