Attempted Murder in Amargeti: 55-Year-Old on Trial

The trial for the attempted murder in Amargeti begins today at the Criminal Court in Paphos. The 55-year-old defendant pleaded not guilty to all charges at the previous hearing.

The 55-year-old is accused of attempting to kill a 41-year-old from Limassol with a firearm on July 5, 2025, in the "Fournoi" area of Amargeti. He is also accused of illegally transporting a firearm without a permit.

According to the Police, the 55-year-old, a resident of Amargeti, had a dispute with the victim regarding property boundaries. The incident occurred when the 41-year-old was found injured in the abdomen and transferred to Nicosia General Hospital.
