Attempted Murder in Amargeti: 55-year-old Pleads Not Guilty

The 55-year-old suspect in the attempted murder of a 41-year-old in Amargeti, committed on July 5th, appeared before the Paphos Permanent Criminal Court today. The 55-year-old pleaded not guilty to all charges.
The Court set the case for continuation on February 3, 2026.
The 55-year-old is accused of attempting to cause the death of a 41-year-old from Limassol with a firearm on July 5th in the "Fournoi" area of Amargeti. He is also accused of illegally carrying a firearm.
The Prosecution requested that the 55-year-old remain in custody. The defense lawyer reserved the right to submit a request due to his client's health problems.
According to the Police, the 55-year-old, a resident of Amargeti, owns property near the victim's property.
On July 5th, the 41-year-old was found injured in the abdominal area and transferred to Nicosia General Hospital.
