Prison Document Leak: Lawyer Protests 'Deafening Silence' of Authorities

The lawyer of the prison guard, at whose home documents from the Central Prisons were found, has issued a letter of protest regarding the leak of documents to the newspaper Phileleftheros. The lawyer, Chloi Konstantinou, denounces the 'deafening silence of the authorities' and the 'selective application of the law,' arguing that her client's procedural guarantees are being violated, given that the documents are in the possession of the Police and the Legal Service.
The letter refers to a publication concerning a letter from the then Commander of MMAD, Savvas Christou, to the then Minister of Justice, Ionas Nicolaou. Ms. Konstantinou reserves all legal rights of her client and warns that she will use all legal means to address any continuation of public targeting, leaking, or selective treatment.
