Larnaca Torture Case: Two to Stand Trial

Two individuals have been referred to trial at the Larnaca Criminal Court in connection with a torture case. The defendants, aged 48 and 27, will be tried on April 27.

The charges include conspiracy to commit a felony, illegal possession of a firearm, violation of the Torture Convention, kidnapping, causing grievous bodily harm, participation in a criminal organization, and threats. The 48-year-old faces additional charges.

The offenses were committed in the summer of 2025 in Larnaca. Six people are believed to be victims, including three Cypriots, one Indian, one Arab, and one European citizen. Investigations are ongoing by the Larnaca CID.
