Dromolaxia: Police Chase with Gunfire, 25-Year-Old Arrested for Drugs

A 25-year-old resident of Larnaca was arrested in Dromolaxia after a dramatic police chase involving gunfire. Police officers on patrol spotted a suspicious vehicle in a rural area.

The driver attempted to escape, colliding with a police car. Officers fired warning shots to stop the vehicle. After the arrest, the 25-year-old attacked the police officers.

A search of the vehicle revealed 93 grams of cannabis, a small amount of cocaine, four cartridges, and a knife. Two police officers were slightly injured and discharged from Larnaca General Hospital. The arrested man will be brought before the Larnaca District Court. YKAN, in cooperation with the Kiti Police Station, is investigating the case.
