Two Arrests and 308 Driver Complaints in One Night in Cyprus

Cyprus Police conducted targeted operations overnight, leading to two arrests and 308 driver complaints.

One person was arrested for possession of burglary tools and another for illegal possession on the territory of the Republic.

During the checks, 292 vehicles were stopped and 384 people were checked. 27 premises checks were also carried out, resulting in five complaints.

Of the 308 complaints for traffic violations, 134 concerned speeding. Two drivers tested positive for drug use and one for driving under the influence of alcohol. A total of ten vehicles were impounded.

Police operations continue to prevent and suppress crime.
