Dodecanese: Rape Allegations in Rhodes and Kalymnos

Police are investigating two rape cases in the Dodecanese. A 17-year-old has been arrested in Rhodes following a complaint by a peer. An investigation is also underway for a 57-year-old in Kalymnos, after a complaint by a 66-year-old.

In Rhodes, a 17-year-old Norwegian was arrested after a complaint from a compatriot of the same age. According to the complaint, the girl withdrew during a sexual act in an Airbnb-type accommodation, but the young man continued.

In Kalymnos, a 66-year-old woman reported that a 57-year-old man entered her home and raped her on August 10. The woman faces psychiatric problems, while the accused denies the charge. The forensic examination showed hemorrhages.

The case files have been forwarded to the competent prosecutor's offices and investigations are continuing.
