Hundreds of Traffic Violations Recorded in Cyprus

The Cyprus Police announced that it conducted a traffic enforcement campaign today, between the hours of 06:00 – 18:00, on highways and secondary road networks.

During the campaign, a total of 304 complaints were made for various traffic violations.

Specifically:

• 40 drivers for speeding
• 50 for not wearing a seat belt
• 28 for using a mobile phone while driving
• 26 for driving with an expired vehicle license
• 160 for various other violations

Two vehicles were also detained for further examination.

The checks continue island-wide.
