Georgians Extradited to Cyprus for Demosthenous Murder

Two Georgian nationals, aged 28, have been extradited to Cyprus following their arrest in Thessaloniki based on a European Arrest Warrant. They were apprehended with the assistance of the Greek Police and are connected to the premeditated murder case of Stavros Demosthenous.

The two men arrived accompanied by members of the Limassol CID (Criminal Investigation Department) and were taken into custody under heavy police guard. Four individuals have already been referred to a direct trial in connection with the case, facing a total of 16 charges. An additional defendant faces a charge of receiving stolen goods.

The indictment includes 104 prosecution witnesses, including individuals who were initially arrested and subsequently released.
