Loizidis Appeals for Information on Missing Explosives

Nikos Loizidis, head of the Police branch of the "Equality" union, spoke on state television about the loss of 13.6 kilograms of explosives. He raised questions about the delay in confirming the theft.
Mr. Loizidis called on citizens to provide anonymous information via the 1460 hotline, emphasizing the seriousness of the situation due to the large quantity of explosives.
He also referred to a 19-point memorandum submitted by the union to the Police leadership regarding crime suppression, which has not been implemented.
Furthermore, he expressed dissatisfaction with the exclusion of police union organizations from the discussion in the Parliamentary Committee on Legal Affairs regarding organized crime, as well as unilateral decisions concerning police officers' working hours and rest periods.
