TNT Explosives Vanish from National Guard Firing Range in Cyprus

Mystery surrounds the disappearance of a large quantity of TNT explosives from a National Guard firing range. Investigations by the National Guard and Police are ongoing, with theft remaining the most likely scenario.

The incident occurred within an hour, between the scheduled explosion at 14:00 and the site inspection at 15:00. Questions are being raised regarding site surveillance and the possibility of unauthorized personnel entering the area.

AKEL has expressed concerns about the possibility of the explosives falling into the hands of criminal elements. The quantity of 13.5 kilograms of TNT is considered capable of causing significant damage.
