Turkish Mafia Network Busted in Greece: Arrests and Seizures

A Turkish mafia criminal organization operating in Greece has been dismantled. According to police, 6 people were arrested in Attica, including the alleged leader, known by the nickname "Reis".
The "Reis", 29 years old, is wanted in Turkey for homicide, drug trafficking, and arms dealing. He had settled in Greece with his wife, living a luxurious life without apparent sources of income.
The organization is allegedly linked to Dundar Kılıç, the leader of a large criminal organization in Turkey, and maintained contacts with networks of Turkish criminals operating in Spain.
One of the main tools of the ring was a courier company through which luxury cars (supercars) were imported from Bulgaria into Greece. Large sums of money were moved in cash through a money transfer company.
The father of "Reis" is known in Turkey by the nickname "cook", due to his specialization in heroin processing.
The detainees resided in a villa with a swimming pool in Oropos. Police have seized notes with amounts and names of customers allegedly linked to the ring.
Authorities are investigating the possibility of other Turkish mafia rings attempting to establish themselves in Greece.
The EYP (National Intelligence Service) had been monitoring the criminal group's activities for the past few months. At least 40 people are linked to the ring.
