Six Arrests and 130 Traffic Violations Reported in Cyprus

Police made six arrests last night as part of targeted operations to prevent serious criminal acts and ensure public order.

Two individuals, aged 24 and 28, were arrested for affray, assaulting a police officer, drunkenness, causing a disturbance, and public insult. A 38-year-old was detained for drunkenness and causing a disturbance, with offenses of assaulting a police officer and public insult under investigation.

Additionally, two individuals were arrested for illegal presence in the Republic of Cyprus, and one for drug possession.

35 premises were inspected. During traffic controls, over 130 complaints were filed for traffic violations. Eleven individuals were found driving under the influence of alcohol, and ten cars were impounded.
