Extensive Police Checks: 7 Arrests in Cyprus

The Cyprus Police conducted extensive checks throughout the country, resulting in the arrest of seven people. The operations aimed to prevent criminal activities and ensure public order.

During the checks, authorities stopped 960 vehicles and examined 1,106 people. 62 premises were also inspected, resulting in five complaints.

In total, 573 alcohol tests were carried out, with 45 drivers reported for driving under the influence. In addition, 261 reports were made for various traffic violations, and 21 vehicles were seized.

Police operations will continue with increased presence and targeted checks.
