Crackdown on Bonfires and Firecrackers: Minor with Knife - 23-Year-Old Arrested

Police continue intensified patrols and checks in all districts to prevent the use of firecrackers, bonfires, and juvenile delinquency. During the checks, wood intended for bonfires was seized.

In the Paphos district, around 7:00 p.m., a fire was located, and a 13½-year-old minor with a knife was found. The minor's guardian was called. Also, in Paphos, around 8:30 p.m., another fire was located, and a 23-year-old was arrested for outstanding warrants.

The police urge the public to show responsibility and cooperate with the authorities to prevent dangerous behavior.
