Larnaca: Two businessmen released on bail

Two businessmen arrested in connection with a police operation in Larnaca have been released on bail. The two businessmen appeared before the Larnaca District Court on Tuesday (27/1) after their detention order expired.

The police did not request a renewal of their detention but proceeded with the registration of the case against them. The two businessmen, aged 47 and 43, were released on bail, each paying 80,000 euros. They also surrendered their travel documents and will report to a police station twice a week. Their details will also be added to the stop list.

The first suspect is being investigated for conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor, interference in judicial proceedings, and illegal possession of property, while the second suspect is being investigated for conspiracy to commit a misdemeanor and interference in judicial proceedings. Both businessmen deny the charges. The case is scheduled for March 11, 2026.
