Arson Suspected in Three Vehicle Fires in Paphos – Investigation Underway

A fire that broke out in the Ayia Varvara Industrial Area in Paphos, completely destroying two vehicles and damaging a third, is suspected to be arson. This was revealed by the investigation, according to the Assistant Police Director of Paphos, Michalis Nikolaou.

The fire started at four in the morning in vehicles belonging to a 62-year-old and parked in a fenced area. According to the Police, the Fire Service extinguished the fire. A articulated truck and a towed caravan were completely destroyed, while a commercial van sustained extensive damage.

Mr. Nikolaou stated that the fire was deliberately set with flammable material. The Paphos TAE is conducting investigations.
