26-Year-Old Driver Guilty in Fatal Paphos Accident of 2023

A 26-year-old man has been sentenced to imprisonment for the death of a 33-year-old in a road collision that occurred in Paphos in November 2023. The Paphos District Court found the man guilty of the fatal road collision in which Goga Partsvania, 33 years old, from Georgia, lost his life.

The Court imposed prison sentences of 12 and 14 months, to be served concurrently. In addition, he was banned from driving for 12 months and received 8 penalty points.

The collision occurred on November 5, 2023, on Ikarou Street in Paphos, when Goga Partsvania was hit by a passing car while crossing the road as a pedestrian. The driver left the scene but later turned himself in to the Police and was arrested.
