Arrest Warrant Issued in Stavros Demosthenous Murder Case

Police have issued an arrest warrant for a man in connection with the murder of 49-year-old businessman Stavros Demosthenous in Limassol. The suspect is the owner of the scooter used by the perpetrators to escape.

The Greek Cypriot, a former football player, is wanted by the authorities. The scooter was found near a hotel in Ayios Tychonas.

The forensic examination showed that Demosthenous was hit by two bullets in the head. The perpetrators appear to have been monitoring Demosthenous and knew his movements. Reports suggest that the Russian mafia may be behind the murder.
