Weapons Discovered in Makedonitissa: Investigation into Suspicious Vehicle

Seven weapons were discovered in an open area in the Makedonitissa region on Sunday by the Police. According to a report by OmegaLive, the Police had information from the previous night and cordoned off the area to conduct investigations.

The weapons, all pistol-type, five of the same brand and two different, were seized and sent for laboratory tests. They were new and in good condition.

The weapons were found in a bag, wrapped in a nylon bag and hidden among grass. During the guarding of the scene, a vehicle collided with a patrol car and fled. The vehicle had no license plates and the Police are investigating the identity of the owner and passengers, as well as their relationship to the weapons.

The investigations are continuing and material from closed circuit surveillance is expected to be examined.
