Attacks on Police Officers: Seven Incidents in Five Days

The "ISOTITA" union has recorded seven incidents of attacks against frontline police officers in five days, as announced via the "X" platform. These incidents highlight the difficulties faced by police officers.

According to reports, the incidents include:

On 20/8, a 24-year-old hit a police officer with a stolen motorcycle in Lakatamia.
In 2024, 148 police officers have reported attacks.
On 22/8, a female police officer was kicked in the face by a 33-year-old.
On 23/8, a 28-year-old attacked and injured a police officer in Larnaca during a drug investigation.
On 23/8, a drunk driver hit a police officer and fled.
On 24/8, in Limassol, a police officer fired shots at a car during a chase.
On 25/8, in Aradippou, a police officer was beaten after making a remark about the music.
