Nicosia Operation: Apartment Building Checks, One Arrest

A coordinated operation took place yesterday in Nicosia, involving various services, including the Police, the Health Services of the Municipality of Nicosia, the VAT Department, the Fire Service, and the E.O.A.

During the operation, checks were carried out on 8 apartment buildings and residences in various areas of Nicosia.

One person was arrested for illegal residence in the Republic of Cyprus. The Fire Service found violations regarding gas cylinders, emergency lighting and fire extinguishers. The Health Services found issues of cleanliness and public health, while the E.O.A. found unlicensed or dangerous areas.

The Tax Department will conduct checks for the payment of taxes. The operations will continue.
