Police Operation in Cyprus: Arrests for Illegal Residence

Cyprus Police conducted a large-scale operation on Sunday (25/1) to locate third-country nationals residing illegally in the country.
During the operation in the Limassol district, 21 people were arrested. The detainees, third-country nationals, were found to be residing illegally in the Republic of Cyprus.
The Police, in cooperation with other competent authorities, are initiating procedures for their immediate repatriation. Members of the Aliens and Immigration Service (YAM) and the Sub-Directorate of Green Line Surveillance and Migration Flow Management participated in the operation. The operation lasted from 5:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Police efforts to locate and repatriate individuals residing illegally in Cyprus continue daily.
