Syrian Man Abducted from Kofinou Reception Center – Arrest Warrant Issued

Investigations continue into the abduction of a 22-year-old Syrian man from the Reception and Accommodation Center for International Protection Applicants in Kofinou. The Police have issued an arrest warrant for one person.

According to the report, the 22-year-old received a phone call and met with three people outside the reception center, where he boarded their vehicle. He later contacted friends, stating that he had been abducted and that the abductors had left him near the Kofinou overpass.

The 22-year-old had abrasions on his face and neck. Authorities are investigating financial disputes as a possible motive. The investigation is ongoing by the Kofinou Police Station.
