The Turkish Cypriot leader, in a post, denounced an attack against citizens in the occupied territories. According to him, the attack allegedly came from individuals located in the free areas.

Mr. Erhürman linked the incident to April 1st, expressing the view that such incidents were expected and that security measures should have been taken.

Mr. Erhürman noted that he has already contacted the United Nations and the Government, requesting an immediate investigation of the case. It is noted that there were no injuries.

In his post, Erhürman stated that a group from the "southern side" threw stones and explosives at citizens in Yiğitler Burcu. He condemned the attack and called on the United Nations Peacekeeping Force and the Greek Cypriot leadership to take measures and exchange information with the "competent authorities".
