Police have made three new arrests in connection with the investigation into the premeditated murder of a 41-year-old man in Paphos. The arrested individuals are aged 34, 31, and 25.

A 30-year-old, who confessed to stabbing his 41-year-old uncle, has been remanded in custody for eight days following a decision by the Paphos District Court. The suspect claims he did not intend to kill him.

According to Deputy Sergeant Andreas Chatzivasili, the 41-year-old, identified as Georgi Marinov Ivanov from Bulgaria, was taken to Paphos General Hospital with a knife embedded in his abdomen. He later died in the hospital.

Authorities are continuing their investigations, with the suspect facing charges of premeditated murder, causing grievous bodily harm, and possession of a weapon.

Investigations are ongoing and further depositions and scientific examinations are expected.
