The possibility of arson was examined, even disputes between hunters over hunting positions, but nothing suspicious emerged. Reports of two outbreaks of fire at an illegal garbage dump before the fire are also being investigated.

Investigations continue with testimonies from community authorities and examination of satellite images. At the same time, the circumstances of the death of the elderly couple from Sylikou are being investigated, focusing on whether they had been informed of the evacuation and why the escape route was open.
