Fire in Avgorou: Started from Electrical Appliance

Investigations have concluded into the cause of the fire that broke out in a house in Avgorou. According to the examinations, the fire was caused by an electrical appliance.

Specifically, the fire started from a freezer that was installed and operating in the exterior of the residence, as determined by on-site examinations conducted by members of the TAE Ammochostos, the Fire Service, and the Electromechanical Service.

The investigation is ongoing by the Xylofagou Police Station.

It is reminded that the family of four residing in the house was taken to the hospital. Tragically, firefighters discovered a charred dog in the yard during the extinguishing operation.
