Yiannos Oxinos: Calls for Full Investigation into TAKATA Case

Yiannos Oxinos, the father of Kyriakos Oxinos, who lost his life due to defective TAKATA airbags, is calling for a full investigation into the case following the publication of the TAKATA case report.
In a post, Mr. Oxinos referred to points that the state must investigate further. He mentioned Alexandros Lougos, who was seriously injured in 2017 by a Takata airbag and underwent 18 surgeries. Despite this, a few days before the publication of the Christodoulou report, TOM called Mr. Lougos to bring his vehicle in for recall, without anyone taking responsibility or apologizing.
Mr. Oxinos stressed the need to reopen and thoroughly investigate the case of Alexandros Lougos, as well as the actions of car importers/distributors, such as the BMW Group, which is directly linked to the accidents of 2017 and 2023. He also calls for an investigation into the actions of the current Minister from April 2023 to October 2024, based on the statements of Mr. Alexis Vafeadis.
Mr. Oxinos expressed hope that the case will not be forgotten and that responsibilities will be assigned fairly.
