Woman endangered by fire at same spot as fatal victims

A woman was in serious danger near the shooting range in Monagri, on the Platres-Limassol road, approximately one hour before the victims of the fatal fire, Dimitris and Maro Filippidis, were found at the same location.

According to the Police report, around 20:00 on July 23rd, the woman was driving her vehicle when she was surrounded by flames, resulting in burns to her face, neck, and right upper limb, as well as irritation to her airways.

The incident occurred approximately one hour before a member of the Civil Defense located the charred victims, Dimitris and Maro Filippidis, at the same spot. The victims were found around 21:00 on July 23rd, while heading towards Monagri.

The Police are investigating the case as Unnatural Death. The bodies were identified on 29/07/2025 via DNA.
