Life-Sentenced Inmate Found Dead in Central Prisons

A life-sentenced inmate was found dead in his cell at Central Prisons. The deceased is a 63-year-old Cypriot man, who was serving a sentence for serious crimes.
Initial indications suggest the death was due to pathological causes. The Prisons Department announced that the inmate was found around 15:55 by a staff member without apparent vital signs.
Medical services were immediately activated, and an ambulance was called. The inmate was transferred to the General Hospital, where his death was confirmed. The Nicosia TAE and the family of the deceased were informed.
