Kalavasos: Man Admits to Hitting Cafe Display Window and Fleeing

A 53-year-old man has admitted to charges that on August 12th, he hit a cafe display window in Kalavasos with his vehicle and then fled the scene. The case is scheduled for hearing on September 15th.

According to the Police, the man admitted to charges of careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, refusing to provide a preliminary breathalyzer test, driving a motor vehicle while it was immobilized, and driving a vehicle without insurance.

The Court set September 15th as the date for the reading of facts and sentencing, while also ordering the 53-year-old to sign a bail of 5 thousand euros and revoked his driver's license until the same date.

On August 12th, the 53-year-old was driving a vehicle near the Kalavasos roundabout when, under investigation, he lost control and crashed into a cafe display window, causing minor damage. He then left the scene and was later located by the Police at Zygi marina. He refused to provide a sample for a breathalyzer test and was arrested.
