Kalavasos: Sentencing on 15/9 for 53-year-old who crashed into cafe

A 53-year-old man admitted that on August 12, he crashed his vehicle into a cafe in Kalavasos and then fled the scene. The Larnaca District Court set September 15 as the date for reading the facts and sentencing.
The 53-year-old admitted to charges of careless driving, leaving the scene of an accident, refusal to provide a preliminary breathalyzer test, driving a motor vehicle while it was immobilized, and driving a vehicle without insurance.
The court ordered the 53-year-old to sign a bail of 5,000 euros and revoked his driver's license until September 15.
According to the Police, the man lost control of his vehicle near the Kalavasos roundabout, resulting in a collision with a cafe. He was subsequently located in Zygi marina and refused to provide a sample for a breathalyzer test.
