Hunters Report Harassment Near Meneou – Police Refuse to Intervene

A group of hunters reported harassment to the police near the village of Meneou. According to a Facebook post by the group "Active Citizens - United Cypriot Hunters Movement," the incident occurred on Saturday morning.
The hunters claim that unknown individuals harassed and filmed them, obstructing their hunting activity. When the hunters contacted the Kiti Police Station, they were allegedly refused assistance, with police declining to visit the scene or accept an official complaint.
The Game and Wildlife Service responded and confirmed that the hunters were operating legally. However, the confrontation continued, and the Game and Wildlife Service called the police again, who allegedly refused to intervene a second time.
The hunters accuse the Kiti Police Station of indifference and biased behavior, requesting the intervention of the Chief of Police.
In their post, the hunters detail the incident and express their outrage at the police's refusal to assist them. They also include a video showing individuals wandering in the area.
