The case continues for the five Greek Cypriots held in the occupied territories since July 19. Today, the five testified in the 'military court' in occupied Nicosia, facing the 'charge' of 'violating a military zone'.

According to reports from the occupied territories, four of the five testified without taking an oath, while the fifth testified after taking an oath and answered questions. All described the events of July 19.

The five Greek Cypriots claimed that they gave their IDs at the Turkish Cypriot checkpoint and that they did not enter a military zone. The 'prosecutor' questioned them about collecting information for a lawsuit, which the Greek Cypriot denied.

Defense lawyer Oncel Polili stated that he will present two defense witnesses at the next hearing on September 24. Also, tomorrow the five will be taken to the 'district court' of Trikomo for other 'charges'.

It is noted that the 'prosecutor' stated that he will not call any other prosecution witnesses.
