Kyrenia: 11 Weapons Found in Occupied Territories

A significant number of weapons have been located in the occupied territories, with authorities searching for more. According to the newspaper Nialogk, following information and an operation by the "police" in Morphou and Kyrenia, 11 weapons and magazines were found. Another 37 weapons are still being sought.

The "police" received information about the illegal transfer of a large quantity of weapons to the occupied territories. During the operation in Kyrenia, two 49-year-old men were arrested, who allegedly admitted to bringing a total of 48 weapons.

The increase in crime in the occupied territories has caused concern. The "police" stated that there are indications of the import and concealment of other weapons. Investigations are ongoing, telephone records are being examined, and the contacts of the suspects are being investigated, as well as the origin of the seized weapons and their possible connections with other incidents. The two men were placed in 2-day "detention" for further investigation.
