Kofinou: 22-year-old Abduction – Investigation and Allegation of Financial Disputes

Police are investigating a report of abduction and assault against a 22-year-old Syrian resident at an international protection applicant center in Kofinou.

According to the report, on Wednesday evening (13/08), three individuals transported the 22-year-old by vehicle to Limassol, where they beat him and abandoned him on the Kofinou overpass. Two compatriots of the victim reported the incident to the police.

The victim, bearing abrasions, testified that there are financial disputes with the perpetrators and identified a person for whom an arrest warrant was issued.
