Cyprus: 27 Road Fatalities, 11 Motorcyclists

27 people have died in road accidents in Cyprus so far, according to statements by the Assistant Director of Traffic Police, Charis Evripidou, to SIGMA.

The data for motorcyclists is alarming, as 11 of the 27 fatalities were motorcycle riders.

Mr. Evripidou stated that the Traffic Police is focusing on targeted awareness campaigns, especially for motorcyclists. Investigations are also continuing into the fatal traffic accident in Aglantzia, where 20-year-old Kyriakos Antoniou lost his life.
