Cyprus: Police Checks Lead to Seven Arrests, 195 Traffic Violations

Cyprus Police conducted extensive checks across the island, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals and 195 traffic violations.
The arrests were related to offenses including burglary, theft, possession of a knife, domestic violence, and assault against a police officer. During the operations, 418 vehicles were checked, along with 608 individuals. Additionally, 33 premises were inspected, leading to three complaints.
The 195 traffic violations included 36 cases of speeding. 68 drivers were tested for alcohol consumption, and one driver was tested for drug use. One driver was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police operations continue with the aim of preventing and suppressing crime, protecting citizens, and ensuring public order.
