Cyprus: Seven Arrests and 122 Speeding Tickets Issued

Cyprus Police conducted extensive patrols, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals for various offenses, including possession of a knife and driving under the influence of alcohol.

Additionally, 122 drivers were ticketed for exceeding the speed limit. A total of 783 drivers and passengers were checked, and 32 premises were inspected.

During traffic controls, 412 violations were recorded, including 39 for not wearing seatbelts and 34 for using mobile phones while driving. Seven vehicles were impounded.

Police operations are ongoing to prevent and combat crime.
