Cyprus: Nearly 200 Deportations of Foreign Nationals, Hundreds of Voluntary Departures

As part of the government's strategy to combat crime and illegal stay, the competent authorities in Cyprus are intensifying their efforts. According to a statement from the Ministry of Justice, 195 deportations of foreign nationals have taken place since March 1st.

In addition, 729 voluntary departures and 204 arrests for illegal stay and employment were recorded. During the same period, there were 256 irregular arrivals.

In total, since January 1st, there have been 535 deportations, 2,052 voluntary departures, 578 arrests, and 529 irregular arrivals. The operations will continue with the aim of ensuring public order and safety.
