Cyprus: 9 Arrested for Migrant Smuggling in Peristerona

Police arrested nine individuals last night in connection with assisting the illegal entry of migrants into Cyprus.

According to the police, around 21:30, in the area of Peristerona, 16 third-country nationals were located who had illegally entered Cyprus.

During the investigation, nine individuals were arrested who allegedly helped the migrants enter the Republic of Cyprus. The migrants were transferred to the Pournara reception center.

The case is under investigation.
